Mr Gurjar has been a consultant surgeon since 2011 and in addition to his private practice he currently holds a post at the Luton & Dunstable Hospital where he has a specialist interest in colorectal surgery.

Natalie has been a consultant gastroenterologist since 2016 and in addition to her private practice she currently holds a post at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, with a specialist interest in gastroenterology and HPB medicine.

In practice:

  • Fully trained gastroenterologist with specialist training in HPB medicine, offering expertise in:
    • Endoscopic diagnosis and management of chronic pancreatitis
    • Medical management of gastroenterogical diseases including coeliac, IBS, bile salt malabsorption, pancreatic cancer, cholangiocarcinoma
  • Performs all gastroenterology diagnosis procedures including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, ERCP and EUS

Mr Bhan has been a consultant Colorectal Surgeon since 2012 and currently holds a post at the Whittington Hospital where he has developed the SILS colorectal service and is lead for IBD surgery and benign colorectal disorders.

    • Minimally invasive surgery, also known as virtually scarless surgery
    • Single incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS)

Dr Farooq Rahman is a Consultant Gastroenterologist practicing at University College London Hospital and an Honorary Associate Professor at University College London. As well as Dr Rahman’s clinical and teaching responsibilities, he is committed to furthering the field of gastroenterology through conducting extensive research into diseases such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis (inflammatory bowel diseases), which have lead to many high impact peer-reviewed publications in renowned scientific journals, such as The Lancet, Gut, Journal of Experimental Medicine, Journal of Crohn’s & Colitis and Inflammatory bowel disease. This combination of extensive clinical experience, high quality medical education and ground-breaking research ensures the highest standard of care for patients.

In practice:

  • Dr Rahman is a luminal gastroenterologist specialising in conditions affecting the lining of the GI tract such as inflammatory bowel disease, peptic ulcers and coeliac disease.
  • His subspecialty interests include inflammatory bowel disease, clinical nutrition & intestinal failure, and endoscopy. In addition to this, he regularly sees patients suffering with irritable bowel syndrome, bile acid malabsorption, and radiation enteropathy as well as a whole host of other general bowel symptoms.

Training

Dr Rahman qualified from the Royal Free School of Medicine in 1997. He went on to complete his gastroenterology specialist training on the prestigious North East London Rotation. He completed his PhD at UCL investigating the immuno-pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease.
