- Fully trained Gastroenterology Consultant since 2014, at the internationally renowned St Mark’s Hospital, Specialist Bowel Hospital, offering expertise in:
- Endoscopic diagnosis and management of heart burn, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, constipation and inflammatory bowel disorders.
- Treatment of gastrointestinal diseases including irritable bowel disorder, bile salt malabsorption, coeliac, malnutrition, reflux and ulcers, Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis.
- Evidence based use of probiotics, life style and dietary management of gastrointestinal disorders.
- Human and artificial nutrition, including enteral tube feeding.
- Accredited in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including gastroscopy, colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy.
- Cancer Lead at St Mark’s Hospital for Upper Gastrointestinal Tract, 2015-2018.

- Shire Prize for innovation in gastroenterology was awarded to Dr Mani Naghibi for developing a web-based system that enabled Inflammatory Bowel Disease patients to take greater control of their health and medical treatments.
- Medical Doctorate awarded for research into the use of artificial nutrition to improve outcomes and quality of life for patients with cancer.
- PhD supervisor for projects researching use of exercise, nutrition and vitamin D before and after cancer treatments.
