Dr Harrow is a Consultant Gastroenterologist with a specialist interest in inflammatory bowel disease. He practises privately at HCA Healthcare UK, including at The Princess Grace Hospital, and is also a Consultant Gastroenterologist at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH). He specialises in the diagnosis and management of Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, coeliac disease and microscopic colitis. At UCLH, he is one of the lead consultants within the IBD team, caring for more than 6,000 patients, and runs specialist clinics for adolescents, adults and pregnant women with inflammatory bowel disease. He also has expertise in the management of gastrointestinal disease associated with inflammatory arthritis, uveitis and checkpoint inhibitor colitis. In addition to his clinical expertise in IBD, Dr Harrow is an experienced endoscopist, performing and teaching both gastroscopy (OGD) and colonoscopy at UCLH and at The Princess Grace Hospital.
Committed to delivering evidence-based care, Dr Harrow leads a large clinical trials portfolio and ensures his patients have access to the latest treatment options. He is the lead author of the regional IBD prescribing guidelines and regularly contributes to national conferences and educational programmes focused on best practice in inflammatory bowel disease.
